Back in the swing...

Well everyone, I am in my new condo. My parents are staying in the guest bedroom on an air mattress. My bed was delivered yesterday so when I walked in, it was here, which is nice. This was the first time I had a say in what furniture I was getting for my own place and it felt good. Queen sized bed, leather couch, flat screen will be here later this week, I am pumped.
I met up with the manager of my new team and I am already working out most of the days ahead. I am also excited to get to know the guys on my new team.
I left California and Joe behind. It kinda sucked. This was the first guy I felt really crazy about. I don't want to say that four letter L-word but it was close. Joe is a senior in college and when he graduates he is going to make a decision on where he wants to go.
That is all that is really going on now. My mother gave me the, "You should find yourself a nice southern girl while you are here." I made up an excuse saying I was too busy with baseball and working out but would try to find one for her. She smiled and was so proud. She then went off to buy me all my kitchen stuff that I won't really use because I don't know how to cook very well.

Good to hear things are going well. Too bad you could not have posted pics of the place, but I can understand why. I hope things go well for you. I do have a question, is this new place just while you are training or will you be living there though out the entire season?

Has any of your teammates ,past, present, and future, ever known about you? Do you ever worry that someone might find this and know it's you?

ps you're blog is great, i love it: )

I'm really happy about you...you're doing something you love for a living, and it is obviously paying off. Leaving pleces and people you love it's easier if you know it's going to be for good, and hopefully you moving to the south will be.

aw... your mom being so proud part really just hit a note in my heart. I can never come out to my parents. Deep in their thoughts, I am sure they already conjured up the future for me. You know find a nice wife, a good life, a nice family, maybe two or three kids. They will take care of my children and complain but at the same time loving the situation. I sometimes just feel so guilty and think that I will seriously break their hearts if I ever come out to them. For that very reason I dont plan to do so. However, whenever they say stuff like "find a nice girl already" and then smile and you can almost see their imaginations in their head. It is so sad to see that. I feel like I am not a good son or something like that.

Anyway, didn't mean to be a downer lol. sorry. like your blog, hope you can post more often
