Hello from JP

Hello All! I will be filling in and giving you some posts on Slugger's blog while he is getting situated with moving out to California and getting out of his rut that he has been in. I only agreed to write for him if I were able to have full editorial control over the blog. That means, I wanted to be able to bitch about him and not get in trouble for it, or find it deleted. :-)

So, this is my "Hello my name is..." post for all of you so you can get to know me while I play back up quarterback here.

I am currently 25 years old and live in New York City. I was born and raised in a town in southwest Connecticut. Now, CT may be a small state compared to the rest of the states out there, but, it is the wealthiest state in the nation.

While in high school, I played football, track and some baseball. I played freshman year baseball and then just played in a county league during the summer to pass the time.

Sorry it has taken me so long to post. I got a call from him today saying that I havent done anything.

So here is the deal. My buddy is all for making a few posts to the blog while I am moving and getting settled. Go easy on him. He is really cool. I asked him to write a "Hello my name is..." post for here.

I like this new Beta version of Blogger. I can do a BUNCH of stuff I have been trying to do when I was using that "old" template that kept crashing an never working right. Even some of my old posts are messing with this template. Whatever...

I am off to pack up a bunch of shit. Before I leave for Cali is there anything I should do?

Oh yeah.. My links section got all fucked up and I lost a bunch of my links. If I linked to you, hit me back up so I can throw it back up there. I am not being a dick and not reading your blog, I just don't know what happened.

Moving....

In my last post I talked about a guest poster here for football season. I talked about how I may need one for a little bit because I will be "away" for a little bit. Some of you that I chat with on AIM and Yahoo know that I am moving but I never wrote anything on my blog about it.

Yeah, I am moving. I am heading from the NY Metro Area to Southern California. I have been training hardcore for this move, which is why I have not been around. I started this blog in 2005 and barely had time to update it until I did have a LOT of free time. I then became addicted to posting. Since then, I have been training with a trainer and doing a lot of work in a batting cage and on the field thanks to my pops and some old high school buddies.

I will be updating the blog while I am in California. Where in Cali am I moving... Southern Cali (SoCal). I guess you guys on the Left Coast should start getting ready for my arrival. I will be gone in September from the East (Right) Coast.

I have been living with my parents and it will be good to get out of their hair and into an apartment with guys that also play baseball out there. It is going to be crazy like college again. I will also have a chance to have some new experiences and new stories to share on the blog. When my buddy does accept the role of posting some entries, for a short period of time, go easy on him. He doesn't blog and wants to keep all of you interested. Don't leave the blog, it's not dead, I am not replacing what I am doing here, I just know that I will be VERY busy when I get out there and know that I can't keep up with the demands that this blog has brought.

I am ver excited at this chance and never thought this blog would GROW the way it has. I have been in contact with some AWESOME guys who are just like me and I know that I have at least been able to shed some light into being a gay athlete in America. Moving to California and continuing my career in Baseball will bring new stories for me to write about and will let me meet new people.

You will all be able to meet my buddy (I won't use his name yet because he hasn't said yes, I am begging here... LoL) who has had pretty much the same experiences growing up but only from a football and "frat boy" perspective.

I am not shutting down the blog... don't panic. I am simply starting a new chapter in my life. A chapter that will lead to new stories, experience and friends.

Thanks to all of you here on the East coast who read and contact me everyday. You guys help me through a lot and let me vent about everything and anything that I need to get off my chest. I thank everyone else around the world for the same stuff.

Okay, I am rambling here now. I am off to the gym and then should be back to make another post.

Football Season is here

Football season is almost here and I can't wait for it. Any American Football players out there that want to send in stories and experiences should e-mail me! I may be having a guest blogger blog about college and high school football. He is a friend of mine. He may step in for a little while in-between posts. I have asked him and he has not accepted the offer.

He played high school football, is a good friend of mine, and lets me stay at his apartment every now and then in Manhattan. He is a little older than me, 25, and works in Television. He is awesome, and yes, I am sucking up to him on the blog because I would really like him to share what he went through in high school. We went to sports camp together when we were little and ended up getting to know eachother. During college, we somehow got back in touch with eachother and we have been talking ever since. Matt Dallas Part 2

So, there is more Matt Dallas controversy! Blogger Perez Hilton "outed" Matt Dallas on the Howard Stern Show a few weeks ago saying that he is definitly gay.

I blogged about Matt saying that who cares if an actor is gay or not, it should be about his ability as an actor and not who he sleeps with when he is off screen. Recent rumors have been flying around about Jake Gyllenhaal being "Toothy Tile" and connected to the break up of Lance Armstrong and Cheryl Crow.

So anyway, Matt Dallas went on Stern a few days ago... Here are some highlights from a poster at Perez Hilton.com






ABC Family's Kyle XY star Matt Dallas was on the Howard Stern show this morning to proclaim his homosexuality heterosexuality, even boasting that he had sex with "about 20 girls" in high school.

Somehow, we don't expect we'll get much of a response from the female front. But, we wanna hear from the fellas too!

Someone e-mailed me saying that they went to high school with Matt and that he is very gay.

I struggle with stuff like this because it has been American nature to want to know "who is gay and famous and in the closet" It sucks because there are people that look down on gays and don't want to accept it as a natural way of life.

I am still in the closet and do NOT want owners to know that I am gay. There are owners out there that DO NOT LIKE GAYS. I know guys that have been in the minors for a while and won't get called up to the bigs because there is a rumor that they are gay.

If Matt feels like he should come out like Lance Bass just did, people should let them. The internet speculation on who is gay and who is straight and who is sleeping with who taps into the human nature to uncover the "FAMOUS" dirty laundry.

I've been thinking that I should make a list of athletes that I think COULD be gay. I will try to do that sometime this week. Stay with me!

Gay Softball World Series?

So there is a Gay Softball World Series. I don't know if I would be able to contain myself off the field.

would have been an out in the next level up, but I’m thrilled it went for a home
run.”

Your Stories

So I have to say, I really appreciated you guys e-mailing me about how you found my blog, what you liked about it and what else you wanted to know about me. I have talked to many of you and you are all, for the most part AWESOME!

What I like the most is sharing stories with you guys. Some of these I have not posted and what I hear back stays with me.

What I am wondering is if there are any other pro athletes out there reading my blog. Some people have been e-mailing me with their thoughts on Gay Athletes in the closet, everyone likes to speculate but I am sure you are out there. Shoot me an e-mail if you can. I am looking to talk to someone else in my situation. It was part of why I started this blog, to meet other guys out there who stumble on my blog.

College and High School athletes I love hearing from because I have been there, and done it. I know how hard that is growing up, trying to figure out what is going on, satisfy what I wanted. I was lucky to experience stuff at the beginning of high school. Anyway, hit me up!

Workin it

Sorry I have been all MIA lately. I have been super busy preparing to play some fall ball. I’ve been working out… A LOT! So getting back to the whole MySpace thing.

WTF

So I have been trying to get into Blogger for the past two days. And for some reason it would bring me to some strange page within the Blogger/Google blogosphere. Anyway, I am back, for a little bit. Blogger has been pissing me off and I need a new template for my blog. Any help would be appreciated!

"Do you work out?"

SO I was a bit busy today. Don't ask me why I was so busy, but I was. It was a bunch of stupid shit that I had to get done, and I neglected to go to the gym. So I went late. It kinda of paid off.

Today was a day where I didn't have a trainer to work with, so I was on my own doing stuff. I'm working out doing chest and there are these two pretty hot guys lifting together right across from me. Both are wearing tank tops. One was shorter than the other. The shorter one was really cute. Had blondish-light brownish hair that just drove me nuts. He had nice toned arms with larger biceps that really stood out from his body. The taller one was your run of the mill brown hair, brown eyes average 6 foot tall guy. I mean he was tanned, had a toned body but nothing about him stuck out. I couldn't decide if he was cute or not.

Anyway, I go over to the abs section and the short one is working out. The tank he is wearing is like a Knicks practice jersey kind of thing. Like he bought it at Walmart for 50%off. He is doing abs too so I strike up a convo about the jersey and how much the Knicks sucked this year.

We hit it off and keep talking. Maybe 10 minutes go by. His buddy comes over and they say goodbye and leave. Just my luck. Thought i could have got a number.

So I go and jump on a bike for a half hour, watch some SportsCenter and head to the locker room.

There is this cute latino guy changing out of slacks and a dress shirt, late twenties, right next to my locker. I say excuse me and o[en my locker. We start exchanging small talk.

"How long have you been working out here?" he asks me

So, we chit chat. As layers of clothes start being taken off. I am now fully naked and wrap a towel aroubd my waist and head to the showers. I hear him follow me into the shower room which has 4 stalls on either side of the wall and curtains on each.

Now before I go any further I want to point out that I was NOT looking for sex or anything like it. I just wanted to shower and leave.

So... I am showering, and the guy is in the stall across from me. Now the curtains are kinda see through. You can make out a body in the ligh, but the stalls are dark so You cant really see in.

He keeps opening up his curtain and looking over into mine. Now, I am done showering and am toweling off. He opens his curtain and gives me a nod. He has a full erection and is starring at me, jerking off in his shower stall.

I am kind of suprised because it is so public. So I kind of look at him, and I am thinking "Does this happen often?" I have always thought of showers as a place to shower, shoot shit with guys, check out some cock so for when I go home i can jerk off and go to bed.

Amazin' Dream

So, most of you know that I have an obsession with David Wright, #5 of the New York Mets. Well, last night I had a little dream about him that left me a little messy! MySpace

So I started to check out MySpace.com because a bunch of my friends from college and high school have it. I find myself getting lost looking at old high school friends profiles. I ended up finding Gregg on there. I made a profile. Put my Yankees background on it. Made it all out to my personality to the best of my ability and added him as a friend.

If you have been reading for a while, Gregg is the first guy I ever hooked up with. He has not accepted my friend request yet. I can't wait to see what happens now.

BUT... on a better note, I started clicking other friends, friends because I thought they were hot and came across some guys I thought were pretty cute that were around my area. I am debating on wether to post a link to their profiles, or a picture with the face unseen or just saying fuck it and posting the pictures.

I will debate while I am at the gym kicking my own ass. For now I will just post a pic of a hottie I got from the net and not myspace. What do I do? Post the guys pics or just say fuck it and move on?

KYLE XY OUTED?

So I was waiting to get picked up to go to the bar last night and one of my friends from here to go to a bar and I get an IM from a random guy that reads my blog…

GUY: I saw your Kyle XY entry.

ME: Yeah Matt Dallas is a hottie, and it’s a pretty good show.

GUY: Do you read Perez Hilton?

ME: Who the hell is that? No…

GUY: He writes a gossip website called Perez Hilton. He outed Matt Dallas on the Howard Stern Show…

So this guy Perez went on Howard Stern and talked about how Matt Dallas is gay. I had posted not too long ago that I found KYLE XY and thought the lead actor was so fucking hot. Apparently it was known around Hollywood that this guy Matt likes guys, had a boyfriend and was comfortable with it. But I guess Disney wanted him to be all macho on the show and while promoting it to get the teenaged girls to watch him take his shirt off and show off that he has awesome abs and no belly button on the show.

Matt also was on Kathy Griffen’s Show a while back being very femmy. Now, Matt is hot… and I am not making any accusations. But you be the judge from the video below if he was hitting on the girl or if he plays for my team?




He was also on an episode of my favorite show Entourage as a gay house boy…



I don’t see the point in outing someone on a national radio broadcast before even letting the person decide to come out. I mean, did Perez get shot down by Matt and now decides to out him out of spite? I don’t know. Could Perez want to generate traffic for his website? I don’t know. Could he be telling the truth, maybe, maybe not.

It’s Matt’s choice to want to let people know, if he even wants to let people know, that he is gay. I mean, we can sit around and throw names out of guys in Hollywood and sports that could be gay. But that’s all it is, speculation. If Matt is gay, awesome. It’s a hot guy that make other guys like me happy. If not and he is straight, I can keep watching him on screen while having my own little fantasy.
